Compaction doesn’t start with the packer, it starts with moisture. Too dry and the soil won’t bind properly. Too wet and it becomes unstable. Optimal moisture allows the particles to lock together and reach the density the project was designed for. That’s why we keep adding, mixing and testing until the material is right.
